Where you can use SignPe
SignPe runs on the devices people actually work on. Each version connects to the same account, so you can move between them freely without exporting, emailing files to yourself or remembering which device a document lives on.
| Platform | Where to get it | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Web | app.signpe.com, in any modern browser | Preparing documents at a desk, placing fields on a large screen, managing a team’s paperwork |
| iPhone and iPad | The App Store | Scanning paper, signing on the move, in-person signing on an iPad |
| Android phones and tablets | Google Play | Scanning, importing from the cloud, signing and sending from anywhere |
| Windows | The Microsoft Store | A dedicated SignPe app on your Windows PC |
You can download the app for your phone or tablet from the homepage, or simply open the web app — there is nothing to install to get started.
One account, kept in sync
Everything in SignPe belongs to your account, not to a single device. Sign in on your phone and you will find the same things you left on your laptop:
- Documents — sent, received, waiting for others and signed.
- Drafts — start preparing a document on the web, save it as a draft, and pick it up in the app later.
- Your signatures — the signatures, initials and stamps in your saved signatures library.
- Status and history — every sent, opened, signed and declined event, with its date and time. See document status tracking.
- Your free documents and plan — your allowance and subscription follow the account, not the device.
In practice that means you are never stuck. A contract arrives while you are away from your desk: open it on your phone and sign. A document needs careful field placement across 20 pages: prepare it on the big screen and send it from there.
What the web app is best for
The web app at app.signpe.com runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux or a Chromebook. There is no download and no plug-in, which makes it the quickest way to start and the easiest option on a shared or work computer where you cannot install software.
- Preparing long documents. A big screen and a mouse make it easy to place and resize text, date and shape fields precisely.
- Sending to several people. Add signers and observers, choose “Set signer order”, and watch progress from the Activity timeline in the document’s info drawer.
- Working with files already on your computer. Upload a PDF, Word document or image straight from your desktop. See multiple file formats.
- Self-signing. Choose “I’m the only signer”, fill in your fields and download the signed PDF.
The web app is also where most teams manage their paperwork day to day. The Documents list filters by Draft, Action Required, Waiting for Others and Signed, so you can see at a glance what needs your signature and what is waiting on someone else — then send a one-click reminder to anyone who has not signed yet.
What the mobile apps add
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps do everything you need to sign and send, and add a few things that only make sense on a device you carry with you.
- Scan paper documents. Scan uses your phone’s document scanner with automatic edge detection, up to 20 pages per scan, and turns the pages into a document ready to sign.
- Import from anywhere. The Add Document sheet offers Scan, Photos, Files, Drive, OneDrive, Box and Dropbox. Several photos combine into one PDF automatically. See importing from photos and the cloud.
- Share into SignPe. Open a PDF in your email or another app and share it straight into SignPe to sign.
- Push notifications. Know the moment a document arrives for you, and when it is your turn to sign.
- In-person signing. Choose “In-Person Signing” and hand your phone or tablet to the signer to capture their signature on the spot, with the same audit trail.
- Sign with your finger. Draw on the touchscreen with smooth pen brushes that respond to your speed like ink.
Tip: use a tablet at the front desk
If you collect signatures face to face — at a clinic reception, a showroom or a property viewing — an iPad or Android tablet with In-Person Signing replaces the clipboard and the scanner in one go.
Your signers do not need the app at all
The devices you use and the devices your signers use are separate questions. When you send a document, each signer gets an email with a Review & Sign Document button that opens the signing page in their browser — on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
Recipients without a SignPe account sign as guests after accepting an electronic-records consent screen: no account, no download. Registered users sign in first. Signers who do have the app also get a push and in-app notification. More on that on sign without an account.
Compared with the paper and desktop-only way
Signing on paper ties a document to a place: the office printer, the scanner, the desk drawer. Older desktop e-signature tools moved that to a single computer. Either way, a contract that arrived on a Friday evening waited until Monday morning.
- No waiting for a desk. Review and sign from wherever you are, on whatever you have with you.
- No emailing files to yourself. The document is already in your account on every device.
- One record. Every action is logged in the same audit trail whichever device it happened on.
- Secure everywhere. HTTPS/TLS on every connection and encrypted storage, the same on the app and the web. See e-signature security.
