Just share a document with your client to collect their e-signature. After that, you discovered his name was spelt wrong. Now What?
Void the document! You can void or cancel a document using our electronic signature app, SignPe.
If you void a document, the receiver can no longer view or sign it.*
Voiding a Document Terms & Conditions:
- Once you void your documents, you cannot revert them. You cannot activate a voided document back.
- As a first signer, if you decline to sign the document, the document will become void.
- You can only void documents that need to be completed. In other words, you can only void those documents or envelopes due to be signed by the recipients. You cannot void a completed document.
If someone already got and signed a document, you can’t void it anymore. Instead, you need to email them saying there was a mistake and asking them to cancel it.
If you sent the document to more than one person and the first person already signed it, but the second person hasn’t yet, you can’t void it without affecting the second person. It’s like locking the door before they can come in.
Use Case: The Problem
If you find a mistake in a document after you send it to your client and you’re not using SignPe, here’s what you do:
- Call or email your client to tell them about the mistake.
- Download the document to your computer.
- Fix the mistake in the document.
- Send the corrected document to your client again for signatures.
Without SignPe, fixing document mistakes means you have to talk to your client, change the document, and send it again by yourself.
